We are blessed to have had a great and successful year. We want to thank Mrs. Testacross, Mrs. Reagan-Smith, Mrs. Quinly and Mrs. Hedgepeth for their dedication to our school kids. We wish them well in their new endeavors.

“We welcome Carol Ward as Principal, and two new teachers, Nicole Ostrander and Christina Amato to our school. Some of our current teachers will be “on the move” with a change in teaching assignments.

Mrs. Kerry Holtz, who has been serving as our second grade teacher, will be taking her love for Christ and belief that children learn best by doing, to our Junior High by serving as our sixth grade homeroom teacher.

Mrs. Rae Lynn Jensen has 10 years of experience teaching second grade and will take her passion for Christ to the preparing  our students for First Holy Eucharist, and her enthusiasm for reading and the teaching of reading to serve as our second grade teacher next year.

We welcome Ms. Nicole Ostrander as our new TK teacher.  Ms. Ostrander brings a strong background in early childhood education and a “love for the little ones.”  Though she graduated from Aquinas College in Michigan, Ms. Ostrander is from Southern California and is a graduate of Annunciation School in Arcadia and Bishop Amat Memorial High School.  Ms. Ostrander is excited to “provide a welcoming environment where students are comfortable, appropriately challenged, and involved in hands on experiences.”  Ms. Ostrander is credentialed in both Michigan and California.

Our new fifth grade teacher is Miss Christina Amato. Miss Amato brings experience and enthusiasm to our school.  She is a graduate of the University of Redlands, with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and she holds a California credential.  Miss Amato has taught in both public and Catholic Schools – most recently in the Junior High at St. Joseph in Pomona.  Her experience as an intervention teacher allows Miss Amato to address the diverse needs of all our students.

Please share in welcoming them to our community”

In the Peace of Christ,

Fr. Gerard
