Assumption teams have taken first place at Odyssey of the Mind LA Regionals 10 times, first place at State Championships 4 times in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2019 and placed in top 15 at World Championships in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020!
Odyssey of the Mind 2023 State Champions & Top 11th World Championships
Our ABVM team won the State Championship qualifying for World Finals in Michigan, where they competed with many other countries around the world placing in 11th! Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is proud of its Odyssey of the Mind teams and coaches on their hard work and excellent performance at the 2023 Southern California State Competition. Odyssey of the Mind is a competition focused on creative problem solving and teamwork and has been one of Assumption’s valued extracurricular programs for many years. It involves both a long term problem with a particular focus around which teams create props and an original skit, and a spontaneous problem which the team solves on the spot without assistance.
