Accreditation

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA). Assumption received a six year accreditation from these organizations in 2006, the longest term of accreditation that can be granted to a school. Currently the school community is working on a self-study, titled “Improving Student Learning,” that must be completed by any school seeking accreditation from WASC/WCEA.

In the spring of 2018, a WASC/WCEA accrediting committee who are familiar with our latest self study visited Assumption for a three day visit which will include observations and interviews with the various constituents that make up our school community.

Assumption School is thrilled to announce that we recently received in July 2018 a full 6 year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Schools Association. This is the best accreditation possible. It is wonderful to be publicly validated once again for the work that we, in the parish and school community, know is of the highest value to our students.
