Assessments
Regular and continuous assessment is a critical factor in charting student progress and guiding the effectiveness of our instruction. Assumption utilizes both informal and formal assessments. Included below are some of those:
- Informal daily assessments
- “exit tickets,”
- journals
- verbal feedback
- homework
- class presentations
- writing samples and “On Demands”
- rubrics
- use of technology apps
- classroom based such as tests, running records, anecdotal notes
- Formal assessments
- Report Cards (Standards based in TK – 2nd grade)
- Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA2)
- STAR Online assessments in early literacy, math and reading (4 times per year)
