Regular and continuous assessment is a critical factor in charting student progress and guiding the effectiveness of our instruction. Assumption utilizes both informal and formal assessments. Included below are some of those:

    • homework
    • class presentations
    • writing samples and “On Demands”
    • rubrics
    • use of technology apps
    • classroom based such as tests, running records, anecdotal notes
  • Formal assessments
    • Report Cards (Standards based in TK – 2nd grade)
    • Developmental Reading Assessment (DRA2)
    • STAR Online assessments in early literacy, math and reading (4 times per year)
